Annual Governing Board Selection Meeting
- Florida Communities Trust held its Annual Selection Meeting on September 4, 2008. The Trust awarded $73 million in Florida Forever funds to 18 projects from around the state, with three additional projects receiving contingency funding status. The list of funded and contingency funded FF8 projects is available in Excel and pdf formats.
Mayfield Waterfronts Program
- Florida Communities Trust held rule development workshops for the Stan Mayfield Working Waterfronts Program during the month of August. The Florida Communities Trust Governing Board has reviewed and approved the rules and authorized Florida Communities Trust staff to file a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking on August 27th. The notice was filed on August 27th and will appear in the Florida Administrative Weekly on September 5.

What is Florida Communities Trust?
Florida Communities Trust is a state land acquisition grant program that provides funding to local governments and eligible non-profit environmental organizations for acquisition of community-based parks, open space and greenways that further outdoor recreation and natural resource protection needs identified in local government comprehensive plans. Florida Community Trust's Florida Forever Grant Program
The Florida Communities Trust provides grants to eligible applicants for the acquisition of land for community-based parks, open-spaces and greenways that further the outdoor recreation and natural resource protection needs identified in local government comprehensive plans. Approximately $66 million (unless otherwise allocated by the legislature) is available each funding cycle. Read more about the Florida Forever Grant Program.
