Community Services Block Grant Program

The Community Services Block Grant Program was created by the federal Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1981 to provide a range of services to assist low-income people in attaining the skills, knowledge and motivation necessary to achieve self sufficiency. Program Contacts
The Community Services Block Grant (C.S.B.G.) Program provides grants to local governments and non-profit agencies to assist eligible low-income households in attaining the skills, knowledge and motivation necessary to achieve self sufficiency. To apply for assistance, you must contact your local C.S.B.G. agency. Search the Community Assistance Local Programs and Contacts List to find the C.S.B.G. agency in your county.
