Disaster Recovery
2005 Hurricane Disaster Recovery
- Community Development Block Grant disaster relief funding was made available to Florida by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development, pursuant to the Military Construction Appropriations and Emergency Hurricane Supplemental Appropriations Act:
- Florida received $82,904,000 for affected communities
- Congress allocated the funding to assist in recovery from federally declared disasters that occurred between July 10, 2005 and October 24, 2005
- Congress directed that the funds go "to areas facing the greatest need"
