2004 Hurricane Disaster Recovery
- Community Development Block Grant disaster relief funding was made available to the state by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development, pursuant to the Military Construction Appropriations and Emergency Hurricane Supplemental Appropriations Act
- Florida received $100,915,626 for affected communities
- Congress allocated the funding to assist in recovery from federally declared disasters that occurred between August 31, 2003 and October 1, 2004
- Funds are for disaster relief, long-term recovery and mitigation
- Congress has directed that the funds go "to areas facing the greatest need"
- Fifteen counties received funding - The resources listed below provide information for those areas.
